Challenges facing people with intellectual disabilities in different parts of the Global South

The aim of this workshop is to open a shared conversation about the distinct situations, challenges, and initiatives for people with intellectual disabilities in different parts of the Global South, including Brazil, South Africa, Ethiopia, India, China, and international advocacy, policy, and coordination spaces. Through twelve presentations on pioneering research and programmes, it seeks to link empirical work and practice into the beginnings of a wider conversation about this crucial but neglected topic.
