On 15 May, they explored an ecological approach to education, centered on listening, positionality, and interdisciplinary engagement. Three discussants offered reflections from different fields: Dr. Mieke Lopez Cardoso (Associate Professor, Governance and Inclusive Development department, UvA), Dorine van Meel (independent artist), and Prof. Dr. Francio Guadeloupe (Professor of the Public Anthropology of Kingdom Relations, UvA). Together, they reflected on how education can act as a transformative tool for cultivating care and collective well-being—beyond dominant paradigms.
The next day, on 16 May, Hernando Chindoy Chindoy and Ana Cristina Rodríguez Muñoz presented a workshop focused on developing a participatory methodology for biocultural cartographies, essential for mapping diverse knowledges, practices, and presences in specific territories. Together with participants, they explored co-creative methodologies to map practices related to food production and consumption, examining their impacts on both humans and non-humans from scientific, cultural, traditional, and experiential perspectives.
